Back to School Announcements 8.6.21

8/6/21

Hello Miller Families,

This is Mrs. Yarbrough with a few start of the school year announcements.

Arrival and Dismissal

School starts this Tuesday, August 10 at 8:05am. Please remember that we have a hard start time this year, with NO staggered start times. Breakfast service begins at 7:30am in our MPR and is FREE to all students this year. Students will be allowed on campus beginning at 7:50am if they are not eating breakfast. We will continue to utilize BOTH gates (at the front and back of the school near childcare) for student drop off and pick up, just as we did last year.

  • All students in grades TK-3rd, all students who walk or ride their bike, and all students who eat breakfast in the morning will arrive through the FRONT gate of the school. Buses will also drop off at the front of the school.
  • Students in grades 4 through 6 who are arriving by vehicle will enter through back gate of the school which is near childcare.

Please keep in mind the unique configuration of our parking lots, and try to walk to school, or park in the neighborhood and walk onto campus if possible.

All students will be dismissed through the front gate every school day except Wednesday, which is early dismissal. On Wednesdays, your child’s dismissal gate is the same as their arrival gate.

Classroom Assignments

Classroom assignments will be available in Aeries through the Parent Portal on Monday, August 9 after 2:00pm, but will be available to only those who have completed the Data Confirmation process. If you need assistance with Data Confirmation, please call the school office at (714) 228-3270. Please know that all classroom assignments are tentative for the first few days of school. Changes could be made due to fluctuations in student enrollment. Thank you for your understanding. Here is the link to the parent portal.  Aeries Parent Portal.

Masks and Safety Protocols

All students and staff, regardless of vaccination status, will be required to wear masks while indoors. This includes but is not limited to: classrooms, restrooms, the MPR, and the office. Masks are not required while out of doors. There will be no health screening or hand sanitizing when arriving onto campus. Please conduct health screeners before coming to school, and stay home if experiencing COVID-like symptoms. Students will have access to hand washing/sanitizing throughout the day, and the school has masks for children if they arrive to school without one. Students may bring their own hand sanitizer if they choose.

Please call the office if you have urgent questions. (714) 228-3270

Take care everyone, and we’ll see you soon!
