C-VALT Parent Info Night

What is C-VALT?

Centralia Elementary School District’s C-VALT program is a virtual independent study program offered as an optional alternative instructional strategy for students whose needs may be best met through study outside of the regular classroom setting.

Please join us for the Parent Informational Meeting via Zoom:

Thursday: 8/5/21 | 6:00PM | Zoom Meeting

Parents/guardians of all enrolled pupils have the options to enroll their child in in-person instruction or independent study during the 2021–22 school year.

  • Parents/guardians have the right to request a pupil-parent-educator conference meeting before enrollment.
  • Pupil rights regarding procedures for enrolling, disenrolling, and re-enrolling in independent study can be found on www.cesd.us board policy.
  • CESD students in grades kindergarten- 6th grade will have opportunities for daily synchronous instruction.

C-VALT offers an alternative instructional strategy in which students work independently under the program agreement and the general supervision of a credentialed teacher. While students follow the district-adopted curriculum, they are provided the flexibility to meet their individualized needs, interests, and learning styles.
