VOLUNTEER RECRUITMENT
MEASURE N GENERAL OBLIGATION BOND
CITIZENS OVERSIGHT COMMITTEE
Pursuant to Education Code Section 15278, Centralia School District (CSD) is seeking qualified community members to serve on its Citizens’ Oversight Committee, a condition of voter approval of Measure N, which was approved by the electorate at the November 8, 2016 election.
Appointed volunteers will serve in an uncompensated capacity for two-year terms, and for no more than two consecutive terms. The Citizen’s Oversight Committee (COC) shall meet no less than once a year and no more than quarterly. The COC shall convene primarily to provide oversight ensuring that bond revenues are expended only for the purposes described in the California Constitution and ensuring that no funds are used for teacher or administrative salaries or any other school operating expenses.
The District serves portions of the communities of Buena Park, La Palma, Anaheim and Cypress.
Applications are being sought from persons who are active in one of the following groups:
- A parent or guardian of a child enrolled in CSD
