Weekly Announcements 10/13/19

Hello Miller Families, Below please find this week’s important announcements. PTA would like you to know that if you missed the deadline to turn in your Reflections submission, it’s not too late! They will accept entries tomorrow as well. Please bring them directly to the office with the appropriate paperwork. The Entry Packet can be found on our website under PTA, and then Reflections Art. The annual Disaster Drill is this Thursday, October 17 beginning at approximately 9:00am. Please know that the school office will be closed, and the phones will not be answered during this time. No visitors will be allowed on or off campus after the drill has begun, and until its conclusion. We should be finished by approximately 10:00am. Thank you so much for your understanding as we create preparedness, and join in the Great California Shakeout. Red Ribbon Week is almost here! Please mark your calendars now for the week of October 21-26. Details will be available from your child’s teacher and also on our website. Please plan to be with us SATURDAY MORNING on October 26 in Central Park as we defend our title as the Red Ribbon Week Challenge in the Park winners! We’ve won three years in a row, and we don’t want to stop now! More details soon. Thanks and have a wonderful week.

Weekly Announcements 10.6.19

Hello Miller Families, Below please find this week’s important announcements. Please remember that there is NO SCHOOL tomorrow, Monday, October 7. It is a non-student day throughout the district. Please enjoy the three-day weekend. However, tomorrow IS the next PTA Meeting. This meeting begins at 6:00pm in our Innovation Lab. We hope to see you there. Make-Up Picture Day is this Wednesday, October 9 for students who were absent, or would like to retake their picture. Our wonderful PTA would like you to know that all submissions for the Reflections program are due this Friday, October 11. This year’s theme is “Look Within.” We encourage all students to create a submission. Information packets are available in the school office, and informational flyer is on the school’s website under PTA. And finally, please know that much information can be found on our website, especially on the calendar. Click on “show full calendar,” and much of what we do here at Miller School is at your fingertips. New items are being added continually. Thanks and have a wonderful week!

Weekly Announcements 9.29.19

Hello Miller Families, Below please find this week’s important announcements. Our next School Site Council meeting is tomorrow Monday, September 30 @ 2:30pm in our Conference Room. This meeting is open to the public. This Friday, October 4 is next Coffee Chat with the Principal which begins at 8:15am in our Innovation Lab. This is a great opportunity to get to know me, and discuss important issues for Miller School. This time we will be reviewing the annual CAASPP data. Also this Friday beginning at 6:00pm is Movie Night sponsored by PTA. We will be watching Aladdin. Please know that due to safety reasons, and for the enjoyment of the movie, the playground will be closed. Students will need to remain with their families in the movie area. And finally, please mark your calendar now that NEXT Monday, October 7 is a non-student day. Once again, there will be no school NEXT Monday. Thanks and have wonderful week.

Hello Evening Miller Families, Below please find this week’s important announcements. If you purchased Angel tickets through our wonderful PTA, please know that those are coming home tomorrow, Monday, September 23 with your child. Please be looking for them. Please remember that this week, all week, is Parent Teacher Conferences. Students will be DISMISSED EARLY all week. Once again, students in grades 1st-6th will be released at 1:30 every day this week, and TK/K will be released at 1:15 every day this week. Out next School Site Council meeting is NEXT Monday, September 30 @ 2:30pm in our Conference Room. This meeting is open to the public. Thanks and have wonderful week.

Hello Miller Families! Below please find this week’s important announcements. This Thursday, September 19 there will be a Parent Informational Meeting regarding our new standards-based CESD report card. This meeting begins at 6:00pm in the Los Coyotes Multi-Purpose Room. Once again, this meeting will be held at Los Coyotes School. A reminder from our Food Services Department. They would like to remind you that our students’ prior year benefit status for Free or Reduced Breakfast and Lunch will expire on September 18th. If a new application has not been submitted for processing, the students will automatically be changed to the "PAID" status, and any meals received will be charged the full amount. The application can be found on the district website under Departments, and then Food Services. Please remember that this Friday, September 20th is a Non-Student Day. There is NO SCHOOL this Friday, September 20. Thanks and have a wonderful week.

Hello Miller Families, Below please find this week’s important announcements. Our next PTA meeting is tomorrow, Monday, September 9 @ 6:00pm in our Innovation Lab. On the agenda will be voting for who will represent our parent community on School Site Council. A ballot will also be available on our school website, as well as in the school office. All ballots are due by Friday, September 13. Picture Day is this Wednesday, September 11. All students will have their picture taken. If you wish to purchase a package, please bring money that day in the envelope provided, or visit the Lifetouch website and make your purchase online BEFORE Picture Day on Wednesday. Mark your calendars now for a Parent Informational Meeting regarding our new CESD report card. We will be meeting on Thursday, September 19 @ 6:00pm in the Los Coyotes MPR. Once again, this meeting will be held at Los Coyotes School. And finally, the CAASPP score reports have arrived! They will be mailed out this week directly from our District Office. Hello Miller Families, Please read below for with this week’s important announcements. This Tuesday, August 27 @ 2:30pm in our Innovation Lab is our first School Site Council/ELAC meeting for the school year. This meeting is open to the public. Back to School Parent Night is this Thursday, August 29th beginning at 5:30pm in our Multi-Purpose Room. There will be two Classroom Sessions, one beginning at 6:00pm, and the second at 6:30pm. We look forward to seeing all of our amazing parents that evening. Please remember that this is a parent information night, so please try to leave children at home. Our Fun Run event is this Friday, August 30. This is our PTA’s big fundraiser for the year, so please try to support this event. Thank you so much for your generosity! Please remember that there is no school NEXT Monday, September 2 in honor of Labor Day. Thanks and have a wonderful week.
